Abstract:STalent competition, in essence, is the economic development competition among regions. It is an inevitable phenomenon of the improvement of economic quality and the upgrading of industrial restructuring. To attract more talented people to work and live in the cities, different regions have introduced various preferential policies in household registration, salary, employment subsidy, housing security and professional title assessment, and so on. However, it should be noted that it is not feasible in the long run to be merely dependent on these preferential policies to attract talents. With the improvement of human resource quality, a significant change of occupational values is taking place. At a time when the talent war is intensifying, an urgent issue faced and to be solved by the local government is to create an employment environment centering on realizing college students' self-worth. And it is of equal importance to make good use of their talent while bringing in talented people, instead of falling into the trap of treasuring the introduction of them while disregarding the use of them. Only in this way can we hope to bring their talent into full play, promoting the stable, sustainable development of our economy.
