Abstract:With the arrival of the organizational flattening and borderless career, job rotation has become a frequent phenomenon. In order to maintain a sustainable competitive edge in the labor market, it has become people's best choice to pay great attention to the organizational career growth and to facilitate the growth. This study, taking the workplace friendship as the entry point, explores the impact of the workplace friendship on the staff 's career growth and the intermediary effect of thriving at work. The result of the study shows that workplace friendship has significant positive impact on both staff 's career growth and thriving at work. The thriving at work, likewise, has significant positive impact on the staff 's career growth and plays a partial intermediary role in the relationship of the workplace friendship and the staff 's career growth. This study also puts forward some suggestions about the management practice. Moreover, it has pointed out some shortcomings of this study and given some suggestions for future studies.
