Abstract:In June and July, 1933, Chen Yun conducted a survey of the Jingguo industry in Tingzhou and formulated a labour contract specimen. This study analyzes the reasons of Chen Yun’s choice of Tingzhou Jingguo industry as the subject of investigation and his attempt to revise the Labour Law of the Soviet Republic of China in the Central Soviet Areas affected by the left-leaning errors. It also analyzes the impact of the revised labor law on the then economy and the changes of people’s attitude to the leaders of the Soviet Republic. The study demonstrates that, due to the lack of necessary supporting policies, the revised labor law did not achieve the expected objective and had limited effect in practice.
