Abstract:This paper, based on the theoretical framework of strategic labor relations management and value orientation of constructing harmonious labor relations, focuses on the labor relations issues existed in developing local industries in the rural areas of Guizhou (especially ethnic villages) in China. Under the new industry analytical framework of village economy, it proposes the traditional value factors of the village economy labor relations, which not only make the village economy labor relations different from the classic labor relations, but also distinguishable from the conceptual scope of migrant workers and rural workers. Though not tallying with the idea of non-standard and flexible employment under the Internet sharing era, the policy formulations of harmonious labor relations require a new set of analytical framework and practical regulations. By combining with the business cases of Guizhou rural areas, this paper indicates that village economy enterprises’ development needs to respect and tolerate these traditional value factors. Moreover, policy recommendations and operational practices of building harmonious labor relations have also been proposed in developing rural areas’ village economy.
