Abstract:This study, based on a survey of manufacturing enterprises in the East coastal areas and using the structural equation model formulated as a research tool, analyses the path coefficient between the coordination ability of labor relations and the harmonious perceptions of employees in manufacturing enterprises. The results of the study demonstrate that employees' self-control, business management, government guidance, and China's supervisory power of non-government organizations have significant impacts on employees' sense of harmony, and their path coefficients in the order from large to small, are the supervisory power of non-government organizations, government guidance, employees' self-control, and business management. The results of the study also show that the trade union negotiation has a positive effect on employees' harmonious perception, however it is not significant. Hence, constructing harmonious labor relations in enterprises requires a healthy coordination mechanism of labor relations of the above five aspects. Moreover, the relevant functional departments of the government should play a greater guiding role in addition to further clarifying and strengthening the mission and responsibilities of the enterprise trade union. Those government departments should work together to improve and standardize the supervision and right protection of non-government organizations
