Abstract:As a profession combining mental and physical work, teachers are under great occupational stress. Their occupational health, hence, becomes the key constraint affecting the construction of teaching staff in China. This study, by using a questionnaire survey to examine the current situation of teachers' occupational health in four universities of Beijing, shows that school is one of the most important factors affecting teachers' occupational health. By establishing the regression model of university teachers' occupational health risk perception of Beijing, further analysis of the survey data has been made among the 13 factors affecting teachers' occupational health risk cognition. Finally, five variables affecting current teachers' occupational health have been examined, i.e. teachers’ age, title, occupational stress, psychological and physical health. Among these variables, teachers' occupational stress has the most significant impact on the cognition of their occupational health risk, and there is no difference in gender factors. Based on the actual situation of universities of Beijing, reasonable measures have been put forward to alleviate university teachers' occupational stress.
