Abstract:This study, based on the research data and interviews of "The Impacts and Countermeasures of the Vigorous Development of the New Technology, New Business Types, and New Models on the Workforce and Its Labor Relations" in Beijing, describes the current situation of labor relations of workers engaged in new employment forms, and puts forward some reflexes and coping strategies in the face of new employment forms from the perspective of trade unions. The findings of the study demonstrate that the new employment form has brought a large number of jobs, but also caused problems of the imbalance of the platform practitioners' rights, lack of the protection of workers' labor rights and interests, decline of workers' job stability, inadaptability of the traditional labor legal system, and the inadequate response of the trade unions. Therefore, the main strategies to deal with the new employment form from the point of view of trade unions have been made, such as reflecting the demands of the platform practitioners, timely intervention in labor disputes of the platform, trying to help improve the employment quality of the new employment form practitioners, and promoting the labor legal system expansion of the new employment form practitioners, etc.
