Abstract:Labor education is an important content of the socialist education system with Chinese characteristics. It is of great value of times and strategic significance to strengthen labor education in the new era. This study, employing the modified theory of "gradual-multiple sources", analyzed the process of how to formulate labor education policy in the new era. The results of the study indicate that the negative indicators of labor education, its negative policy feedback, fbcal issues, and events constitute its source of problems; the governance ideas and value choices, and expression of public opinions constitute its political source; the driving role of core leadership, policy recommendations of experts and scholars, local explorations and experience, and the promotion of online media form its policy origin. President Xi Jinping's speech on strengthening labor education at the National Education Conference in 2018 opened a window of policy. The researchers of this study hold that, in the perspective of bounded rationality, the formulation of labor education policies in the new era is a process of gradual adjustment. In the Chinese context, localized factors have an important influence on various sources, and the gradual nature of each source is obvious. As a result, more attention should be paid to the changes and influence of lhe network on various sources. In the meantime, we should also strengthen its policy implementation and coordinated promotion.
