Abstract:The coordination of interests between labor and management is one of the core issues in the adjustment of minimum wage. In the practice of developed countries with market economy, effective public participation contributes to the scientific adjustment of the minimum wage to achieve a win-win situation. This study makes a comparative analysis of the public participation model in the adjustment of the minimum wage in Australia and the United States. Based on the CLEAR model of participatory governance, this study, from the current situation of public participation in the adjustment of minimum wage standards in China , summarizes the significance of the public participation model in Australia and the United States for China. It suggests that measures should be taken to strengthen construction of the trade union, raise the awareness of labor-management participation, build an effective way of labor-management participation, attach importance to the participation of experts, and propel positive interactions to promote public participation in the adjustment of minimum wage standards.
