Abstract:Over the past century, the Communist Party of China has integrated the theory of Marxist labor movement with China' specifi c realities, forging a path of socialist trade union development with Chinese characteristics through continuous innovation in trade union theory and practice. During the period of the New Democratic Revolution, Chinese trade unions integrated Marxist labor movement with actual revolutionary struggles. In the socialist revolution and construction period, they focused on organizing workers to participate in national and social construction, continuously carrying out theoretical innovations. In the era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, Chinese trade unions pioneered new methods of union work under socialist economic conditions. In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, General Secretary Xi's important discussions on the working class and union work have charted the course for the labor movement and trade union work. The core essence of the development path of Chinese trade unions is "Six Upholds" principle: persist in the Party's comprehensive leadership over labor movements and union work, wholeheartedly rely on the working class, uphold subordination to and service for the Party's central tasks, uphold trade unions' political consciousness, advanced nature, and orientation toward the people, serve the interests of workers as a lifeline, and conduct work in accordance with laws and regulations. In the new era, we must deepen our study, actively practice, continuously enrich, and expand the path of socialist trade union development with Chinese characteristics, ensuring that Chinese trade unions and the broad masses of workers continue to make new contributions to the construction of a strong nation and the great cause of national rejuvenation..
